In November 2023, MA Attorney General Andrea Campbell unveiled proposed “junk fees” regulations, which while they appear mostly aimed at such fees in the sale of products, there are a few advertising, solicitation and other provisions looped into the proposal that give cause for concern. MBA submitted testimony to the AG’s office outlining industry concern and requested an industry exemption.
